BIO
After a childhood spent building and creating imaginative scenes with Legos, Kinex, blocks, and anything else I could get my hands on, it became increasingly obvious that I would find myself in the business of creating fantastic places and bringing them to life.
My favorite pastime as a kid, combined with summers spent helping my construction manager father on job sites, led me to studying architecture in college. While there, I felt pulled toward the world of theatre, and architecture degree in hand, I began graduate work toward a degree in Scenography; I was fascinated by the concept of costuming, lighting, and scenic design as a comprehensive, all-inclusive process – a mindset I continue to apply to all my work to this day.
After seeing the incredible talent and experience of my fellow grad students, I realized that what I needed was hands-on training out in the real world. I packed up and moved to the east coast and started work in professional theatre, obtaining a priceless set of skills and an education I could never have acquired in a classroom.
On a short vacation to Orlando in 2008, I found myself visiting theme parks for the first time in my adult life, and I knew this was where I needed to be. It was immediately clear to me that I needed to be part of this amazing industry that makes such a lasting impression on millions of people every year, leaving them with memories and stories they will never forget.
